Doris Baker Dedicates Baker Woods

On August 28th, 2016, Doris B.N. Baker dedicated 354 acres of forest and wetlands along the upper reaches of the Indian River in Lewis County, NY. The newly christened Baker Woods Preserve is now stewarded by the Indian River Lakes Conservancy, a land trust committed to protecting the watershed of the Indian River and the Indian River Lakes region of Northern New York State.
