Trail Steward on the Trail (with Dogs)
Trail Steward Update: My 50th day of skiing on the preserve this winter. We had an amazing 5 weeks of skiing prior to the extended January thaw. The skiing is good once again, but we could benefit by more fresh snow as the trails are new. Improvements are in store for this spring. Plank bridging will be installed and some additional trees and branches felled to open up the trails a bit more and increase snow cover. To that end we plan to schedule two 4-hour work mornings followed by a light lunch in May or early June. Please consider joining in as many hands make light work. Having the BWP next door is a blessing and being the preserves steward is a gift. Thank you Doris, Norm, and the IRLC. Please join us for a ski or snowshoe in the near future.
